The NH Department of Environmental Services (DES) has compiled geographic information on the boundaries of shellfish beds in NH’s tidal waters mapped within the last 10 years. Softshell clams, oysters, blue mussels, surf clams and razor clams have been documented. The coverage contains the boundaries of what is considered by DES to be current shellfish beds in NH. The coverage is updated periodically as new data becomes available. The purpose of this coverage is to compile all existing information about the extent of shellfish resources in NH’s tidal waters mapped within the last 10 years. The coverage will be used by DES for shellfish indicator reports and shellfish growing area classifications. |
